Our Story

Welcome to Limo's Meze Bar Grill!

Our journey began on April 26th, 2024, in the vibrant community of Parkdale, Victoria. But our story truly starts much earlier, with the passion and dedication of our founders, Chris and Felicia.

From Humble Beginnings to Culinary Dreams

Chris, a chef with 20 years of experience, has always had a deep-rooted love for cooking, especially Greek cuisine, a nod to his rich Greek heritage. Felicia, a secondary teacher with a passion for food, has always supported and shared Chris's dream. Together, they embarked on their culinary adventure in 2013, opening their first café, Blue Box Hideaway, in Black Rock. This was followed by Burger Exchange in 2017, where they delighted customers with their unique burger creations.

In May 2023, the concept of Limo's Meze Bar Grill was born, focusing on authentic homemade Greek dishes. Although we had to close our doors temporarily in October 2023 to relocate, we proudly reopened in Parkdale in April 2024.

Inspiration and Vision

Our inspiration comes from the heart of Greek tradition and the desire to bring people together. After the challenges posed by COVID-19, we felt a strong need to create a space where families and friends could reconnect over delicious, homemade food. Our vision is simple: to offer a warm and welcoming place where everyone feels like family.

The Early Days

Starting a new venture is never easy, especially while balancing the demands of raising a young family and fulfilling work commitments. The early days were filled with challenges, but our dedication to our dream and our passion for food kept us going.

At Limo's Meze Bar Grill, we pride ourselves on serving the freshest homemade Greek dishes, all prepared in our kitchen without artificial ingredients. Every meal is a celebration of Greek flavors and hospitality. With a fully licenced bar, we look forward to sharing cocktails, beer, wine and lots of Ouzo with you.

Our mission is clear: to offer the freshest home-cooked Greek meals and create a joyful environment for friends and family to gather. We are guided by our core values of being welcoming, providing excellent hospitality, showing commitment to our craft, and fostering a sense of community and family.

Looking to the Future

We have exciting plans for the future.. Our vision includes a fully serviced dining area with a bar on the ground floor and a private function room with a bar on the first floor. When not booked for private events, the first floor will serve as a casual dining bar with a meze menu, providing a versatile space for our guests.
